Turning Social Media Ideas Into Content Plans
ByBudi Pandu

Ideas are not a strategy
Most teams do not have an idea problem. They have a sequencing problem — forty good ideas and no view on which three matter this month.
A plan is the decision about order, not the list itself.
Group before you schedule
We sort raw ideas into a handful of recurring formats before anything touches a calendar. A format is repeatable; an idea is not.
Four formats held for a quarter will outperform twenty formats tried once each, every time.
Leave room for the week you are in
A calendar filled to the edge is a calendar that breaks the first time something interesting happens.
We plan about seventy per cent of the slots and keep the rest for whatever the month actually turns out to be about.
Write the review into the plan
A plan without a scheduled look back is just a queue. We fix the date we will read the numbers before the first post goes out.
That is the difference between a content plan and a content backlog.
